Now, I need more patience.

Okay, it has been a long long time since my last post. I apologize to my niece who sort of misses my blogs, and credits Santa with her Hannah Montana microphone. I am glad you enjoyed the concert, but it certainly cannot top going to the backstreet boys concert with you loving uncle. By the way, I do not make fun of you because I went to a Debbie Gibson concert around your age- of course I thought she was hot, beside enjoying her music. Now to the topic at hand- UK basketball and football.
Congrats to Rich Brooks and the football Cats- it was a terrific season with ups and downs- most of which were very interesting (except for the lousy Miss. St. game) Man, did we lay a dud that time. Well, thankfully spring football is coming up soon to bring some cheer to the Big Blue Mist. (I did not know we had that nickname until the FSU game-see what you can learn on ESPN.) Mom, you said I would never learn anything from TV.
Now to the dissapointing basketball cats. Last year, some blogger said give Billy G. a chance- so I am trying to take my own advice and see if I don't injure someone soon (most likely someone dressed in Orange). I hate that song and shade of prison orange. I do not understand his methods, substitution patterns, and much more but I learn a little more each day. Just remember- if you want to see want his team will look like- look at Texas A@M. Long, lean, and powerful- that is in the future, because if it is not we may never be able to guard anybody with his physical man to man defense.
Move ahead to the Vandy game, at least now I do not have to hurt the next person I see wearing black and gold. I never thougt we would lose 4 in a row to Vandy, but 5 would have really blown my gasket. It is hard to win without Senior leadership which is what we lack. Seniors who make smart decisions, like calling a timeout under a minute to go instead of traveling to give the other team a chance to tie and send it into overtime. As for Joe Crawford, I would quintuple guard him when he drops his head because he would not pass the ball to Michael Jordan if he was open under the basket. Well enough about that, it was a great game and I came out uninjured even though several leaps, hops, yells, twists and turns occurred during the end of regulation, and the two overtimes. Just remember if Billy G. was not here, neither would Patrick Patterson (a godsend).
Also, I am now a Campbellsville University fan and proud uncle (even though Santa gave my niece her Hannah Montana microphone)- since my favorite niece is going to be a Tiger next year. Maybe her dad can let me borrow some stuff and we can climb the fence together at her first game. Love you Jordan and congrats your favorite oldest uncle Dave.
As always, my life may be uninteresting, but Kentucky sports never are.
Later!!!
